Don't listen to the negative reviews. I have had a pair and they worked out pretty darn good. In a heavy summer downpour of rain for an hour and my feet stayed fairly dry. The reason my socks were damp was from the water dripping down my leg into the shoe.
I am ordering 2 more pair now.
If you want more support ...get the right size.
If the shoe is separating at the toe, quit dragging your toes on the stairs.

I've had two pair of these and the bond between the sole and leather at the toe has peeled apart. A fellow carrier had the same problem. Don't waste your allocation on these!

Love the style and waterproofing. Good support, very comfortable. I tried them once and I'm sticking with them.

Don't waste your allotment on these. I figured with the Converse name I couldn't go wrong as I've had lots of Converse basketball shoes over the years and loved them. These however had all of the stability of a pair of flip-flops after two or three days. No support what so ever, and the leather was so soft. Just not anything we need as carriers to do our jobs. And my co-worker bought the same kind when I did and he hated them also. We both have them sitting in our lockers, taking up space. I should probably bring mine home to use to cut the grass or something!
