Fantastic weather proof pants

The AWG pants are roomy and comfy and waterproof and winddproof. Yes I'd prefer hip pockets to pass-thru slits (or just sew those up). These are totally wind and waterproof. Remember to wash them with NikWax Tec Wash once a year and they'll stay waterproof. I'm 5'11" and for all postal jackets and pants I order LONG length b/c otherwise the length falls short. Ha! These pants are definitely warm in cool weather (I'll let you define cool) b/c they are windproof and b/c they are a multi-layer construction, which provide an insulating effect. But they are NOT insulated and in cold weather you'll want a base layer and in bitter cold you'll want some pants on too.

Windproof and Waterproof - not super warm

I bought these AWG pants based on the reviews saying that people wear them without needing long johns under them so I was expecting something pretty warm. They are very light and thin. Work good to block wind and rain, but I definitely need to wear other layers under them to keep warm in NH. The pair I received was missing the piece of fabric on the bottom of the left leg for the velcro strap to attach to, so I cannot tighten it around my boot on that side. Another thing I will have to fix on my own.

Love these pants, buying a second. very comfortable. 4 stars only because they need to have pockets not thru slots. they are too warm to wear over pants.

These are just as advertised. They are windproof and waterproof. They are very warm on even the coldest days. Very light also, you forget you're wearing them.
